This handwoven cloth pouch with contrasting coral zip by Olla Nua can be used for special things or as a travel pouch for passports, phones and coins. It looks great worn as an accessory to everyday wear. The woollen cloth was woven on a traditional floor loom, powered entirely by hand and foot. Yarns used are spun locally in Ireland and the UK. The geometric Newgrange design was inspired by a sketch of ancient Irish stone inscriptions, made during a visit to Newgrange passage grave, County Meath. The pouch is meticulously lined in cotton with a small pocket.
Olla Nua comes from the Irish words for "new wool" reflecting the Olla Nua brand using a natural sustainable material in a modern imaginative way. The pouch is also available with a mauve heather coloured zip
